& 2010 Go Red Campaign Kickoff!

Nearly 50 Triangle area Executive Women came together to kick off the 2010 Go Red For Women campaign and hear from an expert panel that included:


Representative Becky Carney
Rep. Carney is a four-term Democratic House member in the NC Legislature. After going into sudden cardiac arrest in her office last year, an AED was used to save her life. She is an outspoken leader on increased AED access and CPR training. 


Ms. Peg O’Connell
Works as the Senior Advisor for Government & Legislative Affairs at Cansler Fuquay Solutions. Her lifelong work in health advocacy returned to local headlines when her husband, former NC Insurance Commissioner, Jim Long, passed away suddenly from a stroke last year, just two weeks into retirement.

 

Dr. Paula Miller
Dr. Miller is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the UNC School of Medicine. She is also the Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation for UNC Hospitals.
